Surfing 101

After 3 long years, I got to surf again.. and it was AWESOME!!!  Strong Winds!! Heavy Rain!! Wild Waves!!

And since i got hooked into surfing just like that.. I will need to shop for gears and surfing outfits..

Here are the things you need for surfing...

Rashguard:

This is a tight-fitted garment specifically designed to prevent rashes on the upper body while surfing. The synthetic wax applied to the deck of the surfboard (to keep the surfer from slipping off the board) holds sand that could rub against your torso while you're paddling or trying to stand on the surfboard... So if you love you smooth flawless skin, you definitely need to buy this..

Boardshorts:

Unlike other swim shorts, boardshorts have waistbands with a lace-up tie in order to ensure that it cannot be pulled off the body by the force of the wave when a surfer is tumbled under water during a wipe out.

Surf Board:

Nothing is more important than choosing the right board. All the cool girls and cutie guys have small, narrow surfboards, right? So what! You're not cool yet (LOL)!! For beginners, Longboards (the bigger ones) are more suitable since it is more stable and is easy to paddle.

Surf Trainer:

How to spot the best surfing trainer? Simple! Look at kuya's "ABS"!!! If it's six-pack... He's probably the one you're looking for! LOL!!

Best Spot:

Best surfin spots in the country are Baler, La Union, Zambales, Siargao... etc.

Now you're ready for surfing lessons...
